| Flock makes it easy to limit user access to `defenseless` Windows NT resources such as floppy disk drives, CD-ROM drives, and parallel and serial ports. NT alone only sets and enforces user-access levels on NTFS formatted hard drives. This Flock kit consists of three basic parts: FLock driver, FLock advanced server, and kit administration utility FlockAdmin. The graphical interface of FlockAdmin makes it very easy to assign individual or group rights to a drive or port such as a CD-ROM drive or printer. The Flock advanced server option allows for remote administration of access rights provided that both machines have the software installed. |
