Hardwood Spades blends classic game play and storybook appeal together into one finely polished game. Vivid imagery, special effects and robust characters breathes new life into the classic game of Spades with a new charming atmosphere. Express yourself in the online multiplayer environment with character customization features and magical effects like Lightening, Kisses, and Fireballs! Played on a rustic hardwood table for which the game derives it`s name, this revamped classic will tempt you with it`s colorful medieval theme featuring enchanting music and imagery.The playing cards are 3D, so they flip and turn as you play. Choose from different fantasy card sets that come with the game or even build your own decks. Hardwood Spades features brilliant special effects. For instance you can blow your partner a kiss or Zap opponents with a lightening bolt. All of this neat stuff is crafted to let you have fun playing Spades and show the rest of the world just how cool you really are! Hardwood Spades can even be played over the Internet, so you can meet opponents from all across the realm. Grab your friends and play online, meet new people or just cozy up and play by yourself. Rated games allow you to see how other players compare to your skills. Express yourself while playing using actions, thought balloons, or chat balloons and for those not so happy moments, you can even use the anger chat balloon or better yet a fireball. Test your spades-playing resolve against Smoot the dragon, Glitter the fairy or Grimlock the mighty dwarf, which are just a few of the colorful characters you will play against. You`ll find 31 wonderful fantasy characters in all to play as your avatar or as an opponent. Each of the characters are customizable allowing you to not only pick from a myriad of characters to suit your personality but also pick from several backgrounds and color combinations.
